| Texas Holdem is by far the most popular and many would say best form of poker. Like many things in life it takes minutes to learn but a life time to master. Each play receives two private card face down and then and five community cards are dealt face up. In total there are four rounds of betting. | Omaha is very similar except each player is dealt four private cards and must create the highest valued hand, using any two of their four private cards and any three of the five community cards. |
Seven card stud is a game for between two and eight players and has remained popular despite the Holdem invasion. Seven Card Stud consists of an initial ante, folowed by five rounds of betting. Each player receiving three face-down cards and four face-up cards and creates the highest valued hand, using anyfive of their seven cards.

| Draw is probably the oldest type of poker of which five card draw is the most popular. Five card draw can be played with between two and five players. Betting in Five card draw poker consists of an initial Ante, followed by two rounds of betting. Five cards are dealt face down to each player and they may choose discard or draw up to five cards after the first betting round. The player with the best hand at the showdown wins the pot. |
